Delicious July Menu Specials…Starting with Strawberry Shortcakes!

July is full of flavor at Brunch with TWO limited-time specials. Executive Chef Mike Holz whips up something sweet and seasonal to make the most of berry-picking time. And coming soon, Chef shares an omelette inspired by authentic Mexican flavors.

Starting July 1: Strawberry Shortcakes

July is peak strawberry season in Wisconsin. So, sharing a dish inspired by fresh, juicy berries is a must! Our Strawberry Shortcakes feature a stack of three Brunch Pancakes, juicy sliced berries, and sweet strawberry syrup. Whipped cream? Yes, please! Generous dollops of whipped cream finish this summer special.

Coming soon: Mexican Street Omelette

This inventive entree folds house-made chorizo (yes, we make our own chorizo) into a fluffy omelette. More flavor comes with fresh jalapeños and queso fresco. Still not done…topped with a bright chimichurri sauce. Wait, there’s more….and served with Mexican street corn.

Wash it down with a cup of Brunch Blend Coffee, a Brunch Bloody Mary, or a sparkling Mimosa.

#brunchitup all month with these tasty July specials!

3 Bloody Good Reasons to Visit Brunch at Bloody Mary Festival Sat 6/22

It’s like the Bloody Mary Olympics and Brunch is in it to win it. It all goes down at the Fiserv Forum Saturday, June 22 during the morning session (*see schedule note below).

The traveling Bloody Mary Festival makes a stop in Milwaukee to celebrate everyone’s favorite brunch-time cocktail. Team Brunch competes with other restaurants from around Wisconsin each presenting their craftiest, most delicious sip. Expect plenty of food and live music, too. Winners get big-time bragging rights and our eye is on a bloody blue ribbon for “Best Bloody Mary.”

Brunch serves Bloody Mary cocktails at the Bloody Mary Festival on Saturday, June 22 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.3 Reasons to Visit Brunch at Bloody Mary Festival

  1. Sip, Sample, Repeat. Your entrance ticket includes a minimum of twelve Bloody Mary samples (pace yourself!). Sip Brunch’s Bloody and compare it to other contenders (it’s all in the name of good competition).
  2. Homemade Brunch Bloody Mary Mix and Basil-Garlic House-Infused Vodka. Savor our delicious homemade mix created from a secret combination of flavors and spices. But we’ll share one ingredient—our award-winning basil-garlic infused vodka adds an “herby” note.
  3. Impressive Garnish. Forget that sad, limp stick of celery. The Brunch garnish is a hearty side order including a beef stick, cheese curd, and pickled garlic clove threaded on the skewer. The perfect complement of flavors.

Need a bonus feel-good reason to attend? Your ticket helps support Hunger Task Force. Bring two cans of peaches or pears to skip the line.

Get more info about the traveling Bloody Mary Festival here.  And purchase tix here.

*Important Schedule Note: Bloody Mary Festival is a two-day event. Brunch will ONLY be serving on Saturday 6/22 in the morning session. Cheers!

Brunch Helps Build Habitat for Humanity House

Team Brunch recently swapped aprons and spatulas for tool belts and cordless drills to help build a Habitat for Humanity house.Brunch at Habitat for Humanity house

Habitat is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Volunteers work alongside the family who’s investing sweat equity to build their very own home. The time is truly meaningful as volunteers impact their communities and grow new relationships with neighbors. Also, volunteers help a deserving family realize the dream of a safe home.

Serving is a Form of Hospitality

Serving the community is a natural outpouring of the hospitality mindset at Brunch. So, it was an easy decision for Brunch leaders to roll up their sleeves and get dirty.

Morgan Sampson (Brunch Owner), Mike Holz (Brunch Executive Chef), and Tay Brittain (Brunch Milwaukee Manager) rallied a crew of nine Brunch team members. They spent the day hanging drywall for a new Habitat home near 30th and Walnut in Milwaukee.

“It was an awesome opportunity to spend time doing something helpful and productive for others with my Brunch team! The staff really enjoyed seeing the different steps needed to build a home. We left with a sense of satisfaction after our volunteer day,” shared Tay.

Mike and Tay at Habitat for Humanity houseHolz supported Tay’s comments and added, “It was a great time working for Habitat for Humanity. We learned a lot from our trainer, Jim. It was tough work but fun and rewarding to help the community. We’re set to do it again in June!”

Home is where family gathers, memories are made, and meals are shared. And that’s something Brunch can get definitely get behind!

Build Your Own Work Crew

Brunch Named Best And Brightest In Milwaukee!

So, we’re feeling like kind-of a big deal this week, because Brunch was named one of Milwaukee’s Best And Brightest Companies To Work For®! We learned about the honor a few months ago, and it got real at the awards ceremony!

Burnch receives 2019 Best And Brightest Award

Tay Brittain (Manager of Brunch Milwaukee), Morgan Sampson (Owner of Brunch), and Eric Hunsader (Manager of Brunch Brookfield) happily accept the award

The Best And Brightest companies are evaluated based on a few categories, including communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention, and more. We were one of only 48 companies in the greater Milwaukee area to be awarded in 2019, and we’re so proud!

It’s really all about team here – if you’ve spent any time at our Milwaukee or Brookfield locations, you totally get the vibe. We strive to provide a fantastic work environment, and this award makes us believe we’ve been doing the right things to achieve it. Kudos to our rockstar management team for making this happen – we couldn’t do it without you!

Brunch Milwaukee Celebrates Women’s Entrepreneurship Week

Brunch Milwaukee was super-excited to be invited to host an event for Women’s Entrepreneurship Week this year! On Monday, March 4, Morgan Sampson, our fearless leader and owner of Brunch was featured on a panel with Kelly Andrew of Filament Communication, and Ebony Ssali, owner of Ssali Media Group. The topic for the event was “Who’s Leading YOU?” and it was a lively conversation.

Brunch Milwaukee Celebrates Women’s Entrepreneurship Week

We couldn’t be more proud of Morgan, who founded Brunch Milwaukee in 2016, and opened Brunch Brookfield shortly after! She’s our rock, and, in our opinion, one heck of an example of a woman entrepreneur. Morgan shared a little bit about our team (we read a leadership book each month!), and about how she’s overcome challenges to be a great leader.

Our Brunch Milwaukee team had a blast supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship Week! We give props to Presenting Sponsor Accelity Marketing, whose team was running around town to over 60 events throughout the week! And to all of the women (and men!) who showed up to support the events, learn from each other, and build a thriving business environment in Milwaukee – bravo!
