Looking for a terrific reason to pop into Brunch for a tasty and egg-cellent meal? Then set a notification for this Friday, October 11— it’s World Egg Day!

World Egg Day Friday, October 11, 2019

World Egg Day was created over twenty year ago in Vienna to raise awareness of the benefits of eggs and their importance in human nutrition. Today the event is celebrated across the globe, as countries continue to promote eggs as affordable, versatile, and delicious.

Seriously, this is a worldwide event!

Egg-themed events are planned across the globe on Friday. Canada intends to give a major shoutout to their egg farmers…In Ghana, school kids take quizzes on egg nutrition….and Columbians are ALL in this year for World Egg Day as they attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest scrambled egg. 62,000 eggs will be used during the attempt, which will help to feed 15,000 vulnerable people in the area.

Lox Benedict Brunch Fall 2019 Menu

At Brunch, we’re SUPER fans of the egg (it IS our iconic logo, after all!). And we plan to do our part to help bring awareness to eggs as delicious, nutritious, and perfect for brunch entrees. Like Lox Benedict, a favorite on our new fall menu. Creamy hollandaise sauce smothers poached eggs and rich, savory lox. Served on an English muffin; a sprinkling of salty fried capers garnishes this dish.

Get crackin’ this World Egg Day!

Visit Brunch this Friday, October 11th. Our Brookfield Brunch and the newly re-opened Downtown Brunch both look forward to frying, scrambling, or poaching dozens and dozens (and DOZENS!) of the incredible, edible egg. #brunchitup
